Federal Tall Dresser, Block House

Sonia Messer marketed her Colombia-made furniture through Block House when she first went into production. This dresser is identical to the Sonia Messer "chifferobe" but bears the Block House sticker. This chest is is 3-15/16" tall x 1-5.8" deep x 1-1/8" wide (at the widest point which is the bureau top.)

This style is also known as "Empire" and "Federal, Sheraton-Duncan Phyfe" and was in vogue from 1790-1825 and lives on today as a classic style. It has NO BOX, but is in beautiful condition, with no breaks or repairs. The wood throughout is dark mahogany and the brasses are in good shape. The original Block House label is intact on the bottom of the piece. This piece did not come from the stock we got from Sonia Messer, but was purchased elsewhere.

I will add the photos of this particular piece soon, but for now have listed it with the Sonia Messer photo in the previous listing. This is the same piece, but in better condition.
