Every now and then, we come across a 1900's bisque doll painted black. Known as a "Penny Doll", she is all decked out for Sunday-go-to-Meeting in her cotton dress with silk ribbons and vintage lace hat and purse. She is approximately 1-3/4" tall and is intended as a toy china doll for a 1:12 scale room or a stand-alone collectible. Her legs are "frozen" and her arms are jointed. Her clothing, made by Barbara, is non-removable. She stands very nicely on her own, so no stand was added; she is standing on a quarter in the photo so you can judge her size! She is my personal favorite so far!
